Amazon India expands B2B capacity

Amazon India has expanded its dedicated B2B fulfillment centre capacity by 3x ahead of the Amazon Great Indian Festival (AGIF) 2025. This expansion enables up to 50% faster delivery speeds for Amazon Business customers, as MSMEs and enterprises look to ramp up procurement this festive season. The infrastructure capacity expansion for B2B deliveries has been done across fulfillment centres in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

Amazon had recently announced a major expansion of its operations network with the launch of 17 new fulfillment centres (FCs), six new sort centres (SCs) and 75 new delivery stations in India including three new fulfillment centres in Maharashtra—in Pune, Nagpur and Thane. The company now operates 6 fulfillment centres, 5 sort centres, over 250 delivery stations and around 4,000 “I Have Space” (IHS) partner stores in Maharashtra, enabling deep last-mile connectivity.

This expansion supports Amazon Business, a dedicated B2B marketplace that serves as the digital backbone for businesses, enabling them to compete, scale, and thrive by addressing traditional procurement challenges—fragmented sourcing, limited supplier access, and pricing opacity. It provides a unified marketplace of 17+ lakh sellers, GST-compliant invoicing across 19+ crore products, transparent bulk pricing with up to 15% discounts, and reliable delivery with over 50% of products delivered within 1 day and 75% within 2 days in top 75 cities.

Mitranjan Bhaduri, Director, Amazon Business said, "The festive season isn't just about consumer shopping—it's when businesses of all sizes make critical procurement decisions. Whether it's office renovations for the new year, stocking up before the festive rush, or even corporate gifting, this is when B2B e-commerce truly comes alive. Whether you're a startup in Kolhapur, a mid-sized manufacturer in Aurangabad, or a large enterprise in Mumbai, everyone now has access to the same procurement capabilities during this crucial season. This is about equal access for businesses of all sizes.

Amazon Business has maintained a strong growth momentum in H1 2025, achieving over 35% YoY sales growth and 40% YoY growth in Bulk orders nationally. The marketplace has also simplified procurement, with 65% of orders now placed via mobile devices across seven regional languages. Credit facility adoption on Amazon Business surged 70% YoY. Amazon Business also recently unlocked access to its marketplace for over 50 million MSME Udyam and FSSAI license holders.

For the festive season, Amazon Business is offering a curated Corporate Gifting Store with 10,000+ items across electronics, décor, small appliances, and gourmet hampers with business customers eligible for up to ₹9,999 cashback on festive purchases. Customers can choose from a wide range of brands across price points starting from ₹199. Additionally, customers can expect the widest selection at great prices delivered at the fastest speeds during the Amazon Great Indian Festival, with attractive deals across smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home essentials, grocery and more.

The Amazon Great Indian Festival starts from September 23, 2025, with 24-hour early access for Prime Members from September 22, 2025, onwards.
