BMW opens bookings for locally built i5 Long Wheelbase
BMW says the i5 Long Wheelbase is its first locally produced electric sedan in India, with a claimed range of up to 669 km.
BMW has opened bookings for the i5 Long Wheelbase, which it says is its first locally produced electric sedan and its second locally produced electric car in India. The company claims a range of up to 669 km on the Modified Indian Driving Cycle from an 81.6 kWh battery, and acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. A First Edition limited to 99 customers will be offered at launch. Long wheelbase variants are built for India’s chauffeur-driven executive segment, where rear cabin space drives purchase decisions.

The introductory ex-showroom price of the new BMW X1 LWB is INR 49,90,000.
