BOS and JRG Automotive form Joint Venture
JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd. and BOS GmbH & Co. KG, Germany have announced the formation of BOS-JRG Automotive Systems Pvt. Ltd., a strategic joint venture that combines German engineering excellence with Indian manufacturing capabilities to serve the rapidly evolving Indian automotive market.
The joint venture will manufacture advanced automotive shading and cargo management systems, beginning with Side Window Sunshades and Tonneau Covers. BOS holds a 60 per cent stake in the venture, while JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd. holds the remaining 40 per cent.
The venture has commenced with an initial investment exceeding USD 1 million, with Series Production (SOP) scheduled for December 2026. The company aims to achieve revenues exceeding USD 15 million within the next five years, driven by strong localisation efforts, technology transfer and expansion across leading passenger vehicle OEMs in India.
Commenting on the partnership, Pawan Goyal, Managing Director, JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. BOS-JRG Automotive Systems aims to bring globally proven automotive comfort, shading and cargo management solutions to the Indian market while supporting the growing premiumisation of passenger vehicles. The venture will also play a key role in strengthening local manufacturing through technology transfer, localisation and the introduction of advanced automotive technologies.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its portfolio beyond Side Window Sunshades and Tonneau Covers into advanced shading, comfort and other automotive interior and mechatronic systems, supporting the next phase of growth in India's passenger vehicle industry.
