Cohesity launches new Bangalore facility
Cohesity, a leading provider in AI-powered data security, announced the opening of a new regional office in Bangalore. This announcement elevates the Bangalore facility to a truly global hub for innovation, R&D, customer engagement, and talent-driven growth for Cohesity. The investment, along with recent expansions to the facility in Pune, further underlines India’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s solutions and global strategy.
It also marks a defining milestone in Cohesity’s continued expansion of global AI-driven data security market leadership. This announcement comes as the company reaches the one-year milestone of the successful integration with Veritas’ data protection business.
Sanjay Poonen, CEO and president, Cohesity, said, “We are investing even more in expanding the talented teams here, and they are building the future of data security and empowering our customers to build cutting-edge, AI-driven security and resilience capabilities. In a global business environment of increasing threats from malicious cyber actors, it is especially pleasing for me that my hometown of Bangalore is playing such a critical role for Cohesity in ensuring that everything from patients in hospitals, critical water and power delivery, and sensitive personal financial records is all protected - in India and all around the world!”
The new Bangalore facility represents an increase of more than double the capacity and office space size compared to the previous Cohesity offices in the city. Its design prioritises a more hybrid, collaborative way of working, with Wellness rooms, expanded meeting and interaction spaces, and significant investment in sustainable materials throughout. As a result, it has achieved LEED Gold certification, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability, employee well-being, and responsible growth.

India has long been home to a strong and loyal customer base for Cohesity and is part of a 13,000+ global customer community that represents 70% of the Global 500. Over the past year, this local and international customer community has expanded significantly. Four of the top five Indian banks, and three of the four largest telecommunications companies in the country, trust Cohesity to deliver critical data security requirements, as well as market-leading global organisations, including Infosys, BMW, Delta Air Lines, Salesforce, FedEx, Toyota, and NEC.
