Cosmo First reports Q2 net revenue of INR 1,388 crore and PAT of INR 99 crore
Earnings benefited from a US customs-duty write-back and a tax-regime change. The company also outlined film and rigid-packaging capacity additions for the second half.
Cosmo First reported consolidated net revenue of approximately INR 1,388 crore for the quarter ended September 2026, compared with INR 919 crore a year earlier. Profit after tax increased to about INR 99 crore from INR 47 crore.
EBITDA rose to INR 177 crore from INR 128 crore, while the EBITDA margin declined to 12.8% from 14.0%, according to the company's results release.
The company said EBITDA included a favourable INR 24.8 crore customs-duty write-back at its US subsidiary and an INR 7 crore stock loss following a fall in raw-material prices. Quarterly tax provisions also benefited from a change in the holding company's tax regime.
Cosmo attributed operating growth to higher sales volumes, specialty-film sales and performance in its specialty-chemicals and rigid-packaging businesses.
The company plans to add annual capacity of 16,000 tonnes in chemical-coated films and 10,000 tonnes through a nine-layer barrier-sheet line in the second half of FY27. These are planned additions, not capacity already commissioned.
Group chief executive Pankaj Poddar said the FY27 focus would be on returns on capital, specialty-film sales, capacity utilisation and growth in newer businesses.
