eBikeGo plans 50 bicycle retail stores with INR 35 crore investment

EBG Group's eBikeGo plans to open 50 integrated bicycle stores across India over the next 12 months, investing more than INR 35 crore, with pilot launches in Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The stores will combine bicycle and electric bicycle sales, rentals, servicing, spare parts and fleet mobility under one format. The company said the rollout will create more than 300 direct jobs and between 500 and 700 indirect roles. Founder and chairman Dr Irfan Khan said perceptions of electric bicycles in India are shifting beyond fitness and leisure use. No stores have opened yet.
