The Hyundai CRETA emerged as India’s best-selling SUV in June 2025, with 15,786 units sold coinciding with CRETA's 10th anniversary. It maintained its top position for H1 CY 2025, reaffirming its status as a customer favourite in a competitive Indian automobile market.
On this milestone, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “CRETA is not just a product, it is an emotion for over 1.2 million Indian families. Over the last decade, brand CRETA has consistently redefined the SUV space and remained a strong pillar of Hyundai’s growth in India. Hyundai CRETA has been the highest-selling mid-size SUV in the country every completed year since its launch in 2015.”
Bizmudra had the opportunity to test drive its new Hyundai CRETA over a period of few weeks and we are extremely pleased with the performance.

We were able to take this ultimate, extraordinary CRETA across the Mumbai's traffic-infested pothole roads as well as hilly roads of Yeoor in Thane. In both cases, the vehicle held up well without much body roll. CRETA's sturdy frame looks bold and appealing from the outside and is spacious and comfortable from the inside. Despite the seemingly large size, we were able to maneuver the vehicle into our corner parking space with ease.

The interiors of the vehicle are just as sturdy and useful as the exterior. The plush interior seats are cooled by designer AC vents in the front and rear along with wireless charging in the front and USB-C type charging facility in the back. The in-built music streaming is powered by BOSE sound system.

Plenty of storage space
The adjustable seats in the back with a cup holder and built-in sun shade in the windows make it a comfortable ride for the passengers in the back as well.

The Hyundai SmartSense with Level 2 ADAS features make driving even more safe. The Forward Collision, Blind Spot Collision, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure warning, Driver Attention warning, Smart Cruise Control and Proximity sensors are very useful.

We were able to enjoy the Mumbai's rainshowers and other scenic views through the beautiful panoramic sunroof on the CRETA.

Incidentally, we were moving houses during the time that we had the CRETA with us. It turned out to be huge blessing. The trunk space was wonderfully spacious to accommodate all our massive luggage.

HMIL has established itself as one of the leading players in India, offering products that have won the hearts of Indian customers. CRETA is a prime example of this success. With the introduction of innovative technologies and features based on consumer preferences, the vehicle is likely to remain in the top spot as a choice for an SUV purchase.
