Kia India has begun production of the Sorento at its Anantapur plant ahead of a 4 September launch, entering the premium three-row SUV segment with its first hybrid model with all-wheel drive for India. A diesel version will also be offered. Kia said the SUV debuts its AI Assistant powered by live generative AI, which the company describes as a global first for the brand and for the Indian market. Pre-bookings are open through dealerships and Kia’s website. Prices have not been announced.
