Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG bookings to open October 20
Mahindra says deliveries of its CNG SUV are also scheduled to begin October 20. The four-variant range uses an underfloor twin-cylinder arrangement and is priced up to INR 12.27 lakh, ex-showroom.
Mahindra & Mahindra has scheduled bookings and deliveries of the XUV 3XO ZNG to begin on October 20, following its October 15 launch. Prices start at INR 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, for the MX EDGE variant.
The company says bookings will be available through authorised dealerships and online. Test drives were scheduled to start on October 15.
The CNG version uses a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi turbocharged engine. Mahindra lists output of 82kW and 200Nm in both petrol and CNG modes and claims certified fuel efficiency of 24.7km/kg. The mileage figure is a published test claim, rather than a measure of everyday running costs.
Its twin CNG cylinders are packaged beneath the luggage area. Mahindra says this preserves a flat loading floor and 270 litres of usable boot space, with the spare wheel mounted under the body. The vehicle can switch automatically to petrol when CNG runs low.

Six airbags, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts are listed across the range. Mahindra also describes an integrated gas-leak detection system that can switch the vehicle to petrol mode.
The entry variant includes a 26.03cm infotainment screen, cruise control, rear air-conditioning vents and a split rear seat. Equipment such as twin screens, the larger sunroof and Dolby Atmos audio depends on the selected variant.
The launch adds a CNG choice to Mahindra's compact SUV portfolio. The announcement does not disclose a booking target, production allocation or expected sales mix for the new version.
