Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO arrives in India at INR 3.80 crore
Mercedes-Benz has introduced a limited-availability Offroad PRO version of the AMG G 63 in India, priced from INR 3.80 crore ex-showroom. It adds dedicated suspension and traction settings alongside a roof rack and new wheels; the company has not disclosed how many units India will receive.

The off-road package includes AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with adjustable roll stiffness, along with AMG Active Balance Control and Traction PRO modes. According to the company, drivers can set roll stiffness in three stages and adjust the traction system's degree of locking in seven stages. Those are equipment descriptions from the launch release; its claims about performance on difficult terrain were not independently tested for this article.
The variant also has a professional roof luggage rack with a removable rear ladder and matte-black 20-inch five-twin-spoke wheels with 275/50 R20 tyres. These visible additions distinguish it from the standard G 63, while the suspension and drive modes are the more consequential changes for use off paved roads.
Its 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 is rated at 585 hp and 850 Nm, with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system providing a stated additional 15 kW of boost. The SUV has AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the MBUX NTG7 infotainment system. These specifications are manufacturer figures, not independent performance measurements.
Mercedes-Benz did not give the number of vehicles assigned to India, an order-book update, delivery dates or a like-for-like price comparison with the regular G 63 in the supplied release. Those details would show the scale of this limited variant's launch.
