Porsche begins Cayenne Electric deliveries in India from INR 1.77 crore
Porsche has launched the Cayenne Electric in India with announced starting prices of INR 1.7727 crore and INR 2.2751 crore for the Turbo. Deliveries began on September 30, according to the company.
Porsche has launched the Cayenne Electric in India, with the standard version starting at INR 1,77,27,000 and the Cayenne Turbo Electric at INR 2,27,51,000. The company said deliveries began on September 30.
The launch adds a battery-electric choice to Porsche’s Cayenne range in India. Porsche says petrol-powered Cayenne models will continue into the next decade, placing the electric models alongside an ongoing combustion-engine offering.
At the announced starting prices, the Turbo costs INR 50.24 lakh more than the standard electric model, a premium of approximately 28.3%. That comparison uses the company’s starting prices and does not account for optional equipment or other customer-specific charges.
Porsche’s public newsroom announcement matches the two prices and the start of deliveries. It does not quantify the number of vehicles delivered, the launch allocation for India or the split of orders between the two versions.
“The Cayenne continues to offer the everyday usability our customers expect from the Cayenne, together with the performance, engineering and driving experience that define our sports cars. Its introduction marks an important next chapter for Porsche in India as we continue to broaden the choices available to our customers,” said Ashutosh Dixit, Head of Porsche India.
The business significance is the addition of a deliverable electric product in the premium SUV portfolio. A launch and a delivery start, however, do not by themselves establish the scale of demand or the electric model’s contribution to Porsche’s India sales.
The release does not disclose India booking volumes, unit allocations, model-level sales targets or a complete specification and ownership-cost comparison. Prices are described here as announced starting prices; the supplied announcement does not explicitly establish the tax basis needed to label them ex-showroom.
