Satchmo Foods launches Ready-to-Cook Range

Satchmo Foods, a diversified food company offering high-quality packaged foods, snacks, and ready-to-cook/eat favourites, announced the launch of its new Ready-to-Cook range, designed to deliver fresh, homemade-tasting staples at scale while maintaining hygiene, quality, and affordability.

The launch addresses a key consumer challenge: many people struggle to access fresh, homemade-quality food without investing considerable time in preparation or resorting to overpriced or overly processed alternatives. Satchmo Foods bridges this gap by offering products that combine homemade taste, consistent quality, clean ingredients, and affordability, catering to both B2B and planned B2C consumers.

The newly launched Ready-to-Cook range includes Plain Chapati, Masala Chapati, Methi Chapati, Poori (all in packs of 10), and Idli–Dosa Batter in 1 kg and 2 kg packs. For institutional and HoReCa clients, bulk formats are available to meet higher demand. Pricing is designed to remain highly competitive, making these products accessible at scale: Plain Chapati – ₹8/pc, Masala Chapati – ₹11/pc, Methi Chapati – ₹12/pc, Poori – ₹5/pc, and Idli–Dosa Batter – ₹71/kg.

Satchmo Foods differentiates itself from existing alternatives by offering superior value pricing, homemade taste and texture using traditional preparation methods, consistent quality for institutional buyers, and a careful balance of freshness, clean ingredients, and affordability. All products are minimally processed, preservative-free, and made with carefully selected ingredients, ensuring hygiene, safety, and authentic homemade taste.

The brand’s primary focus is on B2B customers, including corporate cafeterias, restaurants, 5-star hotels, hospitals, manufacturing units, educational institutions, government offices, and catering companies. There is also a strategic plan to expand into the B2C segment, targeting urban households seeking convenient, high-quality daily staples. Initial distribution will focus on Bengaluru, with phased expansion across other Indian metros. As the brand enters the B2C market, planned channels include modern trade, general trade, direct-to-consumer (D2C), and quick commerce platforms.

“Our Ready-to-Cook range addresses the everyday need for convenient, wholesome, and hygienic food, whether at home or in institutional kitchens,” said Mr. Ramesh Karur, Executive Director of Satchmo Foods. “With this launch, we are focused on delivering consistent, homemade-quality food at a price point that offers real value, without compromising on taste, hygiene, or ingredients. We remain committed to serving both retail consumers and institutional partners with solutions that balance quality, affordability, and reliability at scale.”

Supporting this launch is Satchmo Foods’ recently inaugurated 15,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Magadi Road, Bengaluru. Equipped with precision-controlled, energy-efficient systems, the plant ensures uniformity, hygiene, and home-style taste across every batch. The facility produces 24,000+ Chapatis and 5,000 kg of Idli-Dosa Batter daily, and is designed for scalability to accommodate future products including snacks, sweets, ready-to-eat items, and regional specialties such as Holige/Puran Poli. The plant’s operations comply with GMP, FSSAI, and ISO standards, with strict traceability and rapid-response protocols, while also generating local employment and skill-building opportunities.
