Sophos announces general availability of AI Defense
Sophos says the Fusion capability identifies AI tools in use and lets organisations apply policies to AI activity. Pricing and measured customer outcomes were not disclosed.
Sophos has announced general availability of AI Defense, a capability within its Fusion platform intended to identify AI tools used by employees and applications and apply security policies to that activity.
The company says the capability draws on existing device, network and browser controls to show which tools are running and who is using them. Its administration documentation describes policies that can block, warn about or allow specified AI activity.
The October availability announcement follows Sophos's July introduction of Fusion, which had scheduled AI Defense for early access in August and general availability in October.
Sophos has not disclosed India pricing, the number of paying deployments or independently measured reductions in data exposure. Its stated protective capabilities remain company claims.
