Tata Motors car sales rise 59% in July; EV volumes cross 15K

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, the standalone car business created by last year's demerger, sold 63,760 units in July, up 59% year on year, with electric vehicles crossing 15,000 in a month for the first time, up about 114% and roughly 24% of sales. The headline is flattered by a soft base: Tata's July 2025 had fallen about 11% as it curbed dealer dispatches ahead of festive launches. Against June, July's wholesales were broadly flat (about 62,600 domestic versus 62,076), though the company said retail registrations also hit a record, which suggests the demand is real rather than dealer stocking.
