Toyota updates Glanza with new engine, CNG automatic and ADAS
Toyota lists a starting ex-showroom price of INR 6.99 lakh for the updated Glanza, with deliveries planned from the first week of November. Driver-assistance features are restricted to the V(O) grade.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced an updated Glanza hatchback with a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, an automated manual transmission option for CNG variants and driver-assistance features on its V(O) grade.
Toyota lists a starting ex-showroom price of INR 6,99,000 and says deliveries are planned from the first week of November. Its launch note lists October 15 as the booking-opening date and an INR 11,000 booking amount.
The new Z12E engine produces 61kW and 112.4Nm in petrol mode. Toyota lists CNG-mode output of 51.3kW and 101.8Nm. Its model specifications identify both manual and automated manual transmission choices for the S CNG and G CNG grades.
The safety update includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning and prevention, high-beam assistance and autonomous emergency braking on the V(O) grade. Six airbags are listed across the range. The driver-assistance package should not be confused with autonomous driving.
The launch also introduces ventilated front seats and wireless smartphone charging, alongside refreshed styling and connected-car functions. Equipment varies by grade, so these additions should not be treated as standard at the starting price.
Toyota claims petrol fuel efficiency of 23.80km/l for the manual version and 24.77km/l for AMT. These are published test figures rather than measured everyday consumption.
The announcement does not provide a complete variant-wise price list, production allocation or sales target.
