Axis Mutual Fund has opened a new fund offer for the Axis Nifty500 Low Volatility 50 Index Fund, an open-ended fund tracking the Nifty500 Low Volatility 50 TRI. The offer runs from 9 to 22 September. The index selects 50 stocks from the Nifty 500 with the lowest volatility scores, weighted by that score and free-float market capitalisation, and is rebalanced each June and December. Axis cites index returns of 16.0 percent CAGR over the 20 years to 31 July 2026 against 13.0 percent for the Nifty 500 TRI, with annualised volatility of 15.6 percent against 19.9 percent. Those are index figures and exclude fund expenses and tracking error. Axis did not disclose the expense ratio, the minimum investment or the fund manager.
