Marelli has appointed Laurent Favre chief executive officer with immediate effect, succeeding interim CEO Frederick “Fritz” Henderson. The company said Favre would lead its work towards emergence from Chapter 11 and the subsequent turnaround.

Favre previously led Plastic Omnium, later renamed OPmobility, from 2020 to 2025. His Marelli succession had been announced in April; the November 5 release confirms that he has now taken the role.

“Our immediate priority is to complete the work required for a successful emergence from Chapter 11,” Favre said. “Emergence is a critical milestone, but the turnaround must continue beyond it.”

Separately, the company's lender group plans to appoint Bram Schot chair after emergence, once the restructuring conditions have been satisfied. That appointment has not yet taken effect under the terms described in the release.
