Tenneco plans INR 45 crore Clean Air plant as Q2 revenue rises
Tenneco Clean Air India's quarterly revenue rose 34.2%, while its EBITDA margin on value-added revenue narrowed to 17.2%.
Tenneco Clean Air India has announced a new Clean Air manufacturing plant in western India, with planned capital expenditure of approximately INR 45 crore, alongside its September-quarter results. The release did not identify the location, capacity or commissioning date of the proposed facility.
The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of INR 1,718.3 crore for Q2FY27, up 34.2% year on year. Value-added revenue, which excludes pass-through substrate costs, increased 32.2% to INR 1,522.9 crore. EBITDA rose 20.7% to INR 261.6 crore and profit after tax increased 15% to INR 173.4 crore, using rounded release figures.

EBITDA margin on value-added revenue declined to 17.2% from 18.8%. The company attributed pressure to inflation and the incremental cost of operating as a listed entity. The previous-year quarter included INR 6.7 crore of one-time interest income after tax from the Motocare entity sale; the reported 15% PAT growth includes that comparison base.
Tenneco said its lifetime order book stood at approximately INR 16,500 crore, including around INR 875 crore from export programmes. These programme awards are expected to support revenue over approximately five to six years and should not be read as immediately realisable sales.
CEO Arvind Chandra said the company was investing in capacity, localisation and technology to support its customer commitments. The proposed western India facility is additional to the north India plant announced in FY26.
