Automotive-grade alloys launched by Vedanta Aluminium at AutoEdge 2026 conclave.
Vedanta Aluminium has launched two automotive-grade alloys at the AutoEdge 2026 conclave in New Delhi; a copper-doped alloy for high-performance applications and a foundry alloy developed with IIT Delhi, extending its Primary Foundry Alloy range as carmakers substitute aluminium for steel to cut weight. The company, listed following the Vedanta group demerger, describes itself as India’s largest producer of primary foundry alloy. It did not disclose production volumes, pricing or customers for the new alloys.
