54 per cent of Indian executives surveyed say their companies are underprepared for climate impacts
Capgemini’s survey of 168 Indian executives finds climate adaptation is receiving greater attention, but reported preparedness has improved only modestly. The findings concern large organisations and measure executives’ assessments rather than independently audited readiness.
Fifty-four percent of 168 Indian executives surveyed by Capgemini Research Institute said their organisations were underprepared for climate impacts, against 57 per cent in 2025. Meanwhile, 74 per cent said climate adaptation was a priority, up from 54 per cent. The June–July 2026 survey covered executives at organisations with annual revenue exceeding USD 1 billion. Based on rounded figures, prioritisation rose 20 percentage points while reported underpreparedness fell three points. These are respondents’ assessments, not audited outcomes.
