ATS India announces exclusive distribution agreement for Hirata semiconductor equipment
ATS India says it will distribute Hirata’s semiconductor automation and handling equipment in India, initially focusing on standard products. The announcement does not identify customers, order volumes, investment commitments or the duration of exclusivity.
ATS India says it has become Hirata’s exclusive Indian distribution partner for semiconductor automation and material-handling equipment. Initial offerings include equipment front-end modules, panel load ports and wafer- and panel-handling robots. The announcement extends a relationship that ATS says spans more than a decade in other sectors, including automotive. The initial phase will focus on standard products rather than customised equipment. ATS did not disclose the agreement’s value or duration, committed sales volumes, named Indian customers, or a dated rollout of local service facilities.
