Bayer launches cotton insecticide Trance, targeting resistant sucking pests

Bayer has launched Trance, an insecticide for cotton that targets sucking pests including aphids, jassids and whitefly nymphs, positioning it as a response to rising pest resistance, the company said. Trance combines two complementary modes of action for broad-spectrum control and is rainfast within two hours, fitting into integrated pest-management programmes, according to Bayer. It goes on sale from July 2026 across 12 cotton-growing states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana, in 100ml, 220ml and 500ml packs. Bayer did not name the product’s active ingredients or its price.
