Indian satellite analytics firm opens free flood assessment platform for Nepal

Suhora Technologies, a New Delhi space-data analytics company, has opened a free public platform providing satellite-based damage assessment for the Nepal floods, covering affected buildings, bridges, roads, flood extent, barrier lake formation and the source of the glacial collapse. Its analysis spans most of the major affected districts, including Betrawati, Bidur, Rasuwa, Timure and Trishuli Bazar. The platform is open to relief agencies, researchers and affected communities and carries a feedback mechanism. Suhora did not say who is funding the platform or how long it will remain free.
