Sophos adds Firewall v23, new appliances and standalone network detection
Firewall software and new XGS appliances are available now, while the standalone NDR product is scheduled for November 10, subject to regional and licensing conditions.
Sophos has announced Firewall v23, four new XGS network security appliances and a standalone network detection and response offering. The India release followed the company's November 4 global product announcement.
The company says Firewall v23 adds visibility and policy controls for AI service use through Sophos AI Defense, an assistant to help administrators interpret configurations and draft rules for review, and a REST API for automation.
The XGS 2380, 3380, 4580 and 5580 expand its appliance range. Sophos also introduced Xstream Plus, a licensing option combining firewall protection, workspace protection licences, support and longer reporting retention.
Firewall v23, Xstream Plus and the new XGS models are generally available, according to Sophos. The standalone NDR offering is scheduled for general availability from November 10. Regional and licensing exceptions may apply.
