L&T Finance adds AI agent flight booking to its PLANET app with Pine Labs

L&T Finance will let AI agents complete flight bookings inside its PLANET app using Pine Labs' payments protocol, the first use case in a planned agentic commerce build-out.

L&T Finance has partnered Pine Labs to add an agentic storefront to its PLANET app, announced at the Global Fintech Fest, under which AI agents can complete transactions within user-defined limits rather than only answering queries. Flight bookings are the first use case, with buyer-side and seller-side agents transacting through Pine Labs' payments protocol and the Grantex protocol. L&T Finance says the architecture will extend to more merchant categories. Neither company disclosed when the feature goes live for customers, which merchant categories follow or on what timeline, transaction volumes, or the commercial terms between them.
