Microsoft to set up AI labs at five MAHE campuses

Manipal Academy of Higher Education will host Microsoft AI labs at five constituent institutions, including two TAPMI campuses and Manipal Law School. Neither partner disclosed what the arrangement is worth or how long it runs.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education has partnered with Microsoft to set up AI labs across five of its constituent institutions: TAPMI Manipal, TAPMI Bengaluru, Manipal School of Commerce and Economics, Manipal Institute of Commerce, Finance and Economics, and Manipal Law School. The labs will give students and faculty access to AI and cloud tools for hands-on work and industry-linked research, the university said. Microsoft India and South Asia president Puneet Chandok and Hitachi Systems India chief executive Raj Kamal Singhal attended the launch at Manipal. Neither party disclosed the investment or duration to us.
