PALM AV-ICN Expo 2026
India's live events industry is poised to surpass INR 15,000 crore, driven by the rapid growth of concerts, stadium-scale productions, and luxury weddings, which are fueling demand for professional audio, visual, and lighting (Pro-AV) technologies. Speaking at the 24th edition of the PALM AV-ICN Expo 2026 in Mumbai, industry leaders highlighted how India is evolving into a preferred destination for international touring productions while simultaneously strengthening its position as a manufacturing hub for advanced AV technologies. The Indian Pro-AV market is projected to reach USD 150 million by 2034, supported by investments in digital infrastructure, smart venues, and experiential entertainment.
“India’s professional audio, AV integration, and entertainment lighting industry is entering a high-growth phase, driven by the convergence of digital infrastructure expansion, experiential consumption, smart venues, and large-scale investments across entertainment, hospitality, retail, education, and live events,” said Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India. He added that policy support for electronics manufacturing, semiconductor development, and digital transformation is creating a strong ecosystem for integrated and immersive technology solutions, while entertainment lighting alone is expected to grow from USD 12.5 billion to USD 18 billion by 2031.
The surge in ticketed live entertainment across metro and non-metro markets has significantly elevated India's standing in the global events ecosystem. PALM AV-ICN Expo 2026 brought together more than 285 exhibitors, 1,000 brands, and 42,000 industry professionals, showcasing the latest advancements in professional audio, lighting, display, and AV integration technologies. Industry stakeholders noted that concerts, destination weddings, corporate events, and large-scale public gatherings are increasingly demanding world-class technical infrastructure and immersive visual experiences.
Reflecting on the decade-long journey of India’s music landscape, Mr. Anil Chopra, Founding Director, PALM AV-ICN Expo, underscored the sheer crowd capacities that modern productions are drawing, creating macroeconomic ripples nationwide. He stated, “The rise of the concert economy is generating a significant multiplier effect across hospitality, tourism, digital streaming, and entertainment infrastructure, while simultaneously positioning Indian music as a formidable force on the global stage.”
