Ping Identity, a US enterprise identity-security firm, has launched an India "data centre capability" hosted in Google Cloud's Mumbai region, letting enterprises keep supported identity workloads onshore as they navigate the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the company said. The framing is worth noting: this is a cloud-region deployment on Google Cloud rather than a new physical facility, and no investment figure was disclosed. Ping already employs about 300 people in Bengaluru. It cited a Deloitte estimate that 40% of Indian organisations report significant or full AI use, against roughly 28% globally.
