Tech Mahindra's PeaceHealth win is an IT outsourcing deal the client announced six weeks ago

Tech Mahindra's PeaceHealth partnership is an IT outsourcing contract the US health system disclosed to its own staff six weeks earlier, along with job losses from November.

Tech Mahindra has announced a partnership with PeaceHealth, a not-for-profit health system operating in Washington, Oregon and Alaska, under which Tech Mahindra and its US subsidiary The HCI Group will manage the system's applications, infrastructure, data and security. PeaceHealth disclosed the decision to its own staff on 29 July, six weeks before Tech Mahindra's announcement, and said then that some IT roles would not remain with the system after November, without saying how many. Chief executive Sarah Ness said PeaceHealth retains IT strategy and cybersecurity oversight and that no direct patient-care roles are affected. It is the system's third workforce action in about a year. Tech Mahindra disclosed no contract value or term; its total new deal wins for the June quarter were USD 1,078 million.
