Ducati opens Hypermotard V2 bookings in India at INR 16.53 lakh
The standard motorcycle and INR 20.78 lakh V2 SP use an 890 cc engine; Ducati says bookings are open across its Indian dealerships.
Ducati has launched the Hypermotard V2 and Hypermotard V2 SP in India, priced at INR 16.53 lakh and INR 20.78 lakh respectively, ex-showroom. Bookings are open across the brand's Indian dealerships, according to its October 22 announcement.
Both motorcycles use an 890 cc twin-cylinder engine with variable intake valve timing. Ducati quotes output of 120 hp and peak torque of 94 Nm.
The new generation uses a monocoque frame with the engine as a structural component and a double-sided aluminium swingarm. Ducati lists kerb weights without fuel of 180 kg for the standard motorcycle and 177 kg for the SP. These figures exclude fuel and should be identified on that basis.
The SP adds fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, forged aluminium wheels and Brembo M50 brake calipers. The standard model uses a different suspension and braking specification, so the SP equipment should not be presented as common to both variants.
The electronics package includes a six-axis inertial measurement unit, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine-brake control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. A five-inch colour TFT display provides the rider interface.
Ducati India's managing director Bipul Chandra said the new engine, monocoque chassis and electronics package were intended to combine urban agility with use on a racetrack.
The announcement does not specify an India delivery date. Track-focused equipment and optional racing accessories are distinct from the motorcycles' standard road specification.
