HiLITE Group has held the groundbreaking ceremony for a proposed INR 600 crore office tower at Cyberpark in Kozhikode. The developer says HiLITE Cyber Tower will cover 2.5 acres with 9 lakh sq ft of built-up space, targeting completion within two years. It expects the project to accommodate more than 10,000 direct IT jobs and intends to pre-lease the space before completion. Those are projected employment and leasing outcomes, not jobs created or leases signed. Financing arrangements, confirmed tenants, committed lease volumes and a phase-wise construction schedule were not disclosed.
"The Government's vision is re-imagining Keralam by prioritizing advanced technologies and innovation. HiLITE Group and P. Sulaiman are presenting an inspiring step forward in that direction," said Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan. "With new development projects spanning 50 million square feet expected to be completed by 2030, including this IT complex built by HiLITE will create around 2 lakh job opportunities within Keralam. The government aims to position Calicut as a major 'IT Destination' standing equally important with Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi."
